"Salt Water In Your Socks is both a historical and musical tour de force depicting the lives of generations of coastal communities told through the tale of one old sea captain.
John “Spyder” Macdonald fits this role as if born to it. He Is both entertaining and engaging as “the old salt” in this show, bringing his character to life with authenticity and original style. The all original music composed by John’s accomplished brother Alistair tells stories within the story adding a depth to the one man play. The tunes are woven together with the script by Alastair and award-winning playwright Paul Ledoux have immediately entered this province’s folk tradition with Spyder showcasing them expertly in his character of The Skipper.
This is the kind of show that has something for everyone and is worth seeing again and again."
